Healthy and Strong at Home with Kettlebells

With Perfect Form … And a Workout ;)

Just a few weeks ago, this ^^^ happened:

So, it looks like my life is about to take me on an unexpected journey … to Saudi Arabia, where Jonathan works.  It just blows my mind how much has happened in my life in the last year:  Moved home (feeling i was back to square one), met Jonathan (and tried to remain positive about the long time we’d have apart), left my nursing job (hugest leap of faith i ever took!) … then things really took off when I got engaged to Jonathan (to get married on New Years Eve 2013) and… moving to the KSA early next year!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Talk about an adventure!

Never give up hope of your life being better than you even thought possible. Though you will have challenges, pain and hardship, you should always seek to look at the bigger picture, never feel insignificant and always feel grateful for the things you learn along the way.

And now, since you survived all the mush, here is my latest workout as your reward 😉 lol

So, that’s about it for today.  BTW – I saw a few of the ‘tests” for my new site design the other day … and it is going to be awesome ! Getting new photos taken in the next couple of weeks. I really can’t thank you all enough for allowing me to keep improving things and to continue doing what i love.

In Loving Memory of | What Will You Leave Behind?

What a beautiful silver-lining 🙂

This subject might sound a little morbid, but it’s actually a pretty important thing to consider and it should have a happy ending.

I was in the living room just now and I spotted a funeral notice with “In Loving Memory of … [someone]” and then a photo of the deceased.

She was in her 50’s.

She was a mother.

A grandmother.

A wife.

I started to think about how she affected the people she met.

Ever wonder what memory you’ll leave behind?

For me, it’s not [no longer] about being popular or being “liked” or even remembered by name … I want to help someone else see something amazing and wonderful about life that they previously couldn’t/wouldn’t see.

I want to help someone see there is purpose and show how to let that drive their life.

How can I do that?

By openly and actively LIVING with faith that each event and encounter has a purpose … and by trying my best not to waste it!

Next time you are in a crowd of people you know (or folk you don’t know), sit and listen to the threads of conversations:

How many people are complaining?

How many people are gossiping?

How many people are comparing?

How many people are stressed?

How many people are seeking?

There are times (as many of you know) that I have serious self-doubt and I sometimes wonder why I even bother doing the things I do.  Often I am feeling less than enough and I get pulled down into self-pity, complaining and insecurity.  These are the times I become like the people in those conversations. I become part of the drone. My light and flavour fades or sours.  In other words, I disconnect from my sense of purpose.  It is from the drain of feeling this way that I began to write a book about breaking free of thoughts [lies] that tell me I have nothing to offer:

In my short existence here, I have come to realise it’s not about me. I am not insignificant, but I am no more important than anyone else. As I am, at any one time, is the hand I must play. Regardless of my feelings toward myself or how others see me, God still accepts and loves me. If I can accept myself, then I am FREE to give to the world. In other words, I am available for living.

I am not here to earn acceptance from the world; I am here to show acceptance to the world.

~ from my unnamed book, Chapter 1  – I am Accepted

Leave behind an example of living purposefully!

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” ~ Ecclesiastes 3: 11
